Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane is out of the team’s lineup as he recovers from hernia surgery in September. But off the ice, things are going well for him and his family.
On Friday, Kane’s fiancee Mara Teigen took to Instagram to share a video of the couple doing a baby gender reveal with only their kids in attendance.
They counted down from five and then Mara popped the balloon and pink confetti came out. She added the caption:
“WE ARE HAVING A BABY GIRL 🎀🎀🎀🎀 !!!!!!!!! I’m lost for words!! Somebody please pinch me 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲”
She also shared a video where she expressed her excitement about it. The couple is already taking care of Kensington, Kane’s daughter with his former wife Anna Kane, whom Teigen adores.
“Okay, well, now you know. I am having another baby, I am so excited.” Teigen said, “I feel so good, I told a few people but to really just let it out there and start celebrating it. And today was the day that we found out the gender. So, today has been like… I am so excited you guys.”
“If you know me you know.. I love being a mom and I always wanted like so many babies. And Evander is like ‘This is it.’ I’m like ‘Okay that’s fine.’ I always wanted five, I will go for five. But I don’t know, being pregnant with three kids is a whole nother ball game. (In cheerful voice) But I cannot believe I’m having a baby girl. I am so excited and I feel it’s good to tell everyone. But I basically just want to sleep all the time.”

Evander Kane announced his engagement to Mara Teigen via an Instagram post in September. He shared a slideshow of happy moments with her and expressed his appreciation. In his caption, he wrote how lucky he feels to have Teigen and their family.
Teigen replied and called Evander Kane the “love of my life.” Their three children played a key role in the proposal. They wore T-shirts, along with Kane, which spelled out “Will you marry me?” Kane and Teigen have two sons, Iverson and Hendrix.
