Emma Watson smashed ice with her Prada heels, grilled Edward Enninful on gossip and shed light on her charmed childhood during a Vogue cocktail making session.
The Harry Potter star, 33, took part in the fashion bible’s Great British Taste Test series, which has so far seen Olivia Colman pulling pints and Adele eating cockles, while Emma was tasked with making a slew of cocktails.
Before whisking up an Espresso Martini, a gin sour, a Bramble, a Vesper Martini alongside her brother Alex and The Emma Spritz, Emma called Vogue boss Edward to ask him about Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
She then explained how her father Chris would make wine which was left in Emma and Alex’s childhood room at a frosty temperature – something she conceded was ‘probably the definition of a first-world problem’.
While making her Bramble, Emma was caught short with kitchen utensils so opted to use Prada heels to crush the ice and swiftly apologised to Prada designer Miuccia Prada for the multiuse of the object, which seemed to tickle her.

Emma opened the segment by revealing she had created a notebook logging and learning about the cocktails she was set to make on-screen, before gushing: ‘I love learning and I love note taking’.
Showing her links to the fashion world, she picked up her phone and called Vogue boss Edward to ask him the true story behind Kate and Naomi’s links to the famed Espresso Martini – with the hilarious tale tickling him.
In his phone call, he said: ‘Edward my first cocktail I have to make is an Espresso Martini and I feel like of all the human beings in the world, you might be the one to know this piece of information.
She then explained the story to Edward, saying: ‘[The story is] that it was created for either Naomi or Kate, they walked into a bar and said they want a cocktail that would ‘pick me up and f**k me up’.’
Although not able to establish the facts, Edward replied: ‘I don’t know about that but I’m definitely going to find out. I like that story’.
Emma’s heel then took centre stage, as she removed her heel to crush the ice and apologised to Miuccia in advance, saying: ‘So the reason I’m excited to make this cocktail is I get to crush ice…
‘I’m taking off my shoe because there’s no rolling pin. I need to crush this ice with something and I figure this is maybe the best thing that I can do this with…
‘Actually this is better than a rolling pin! Not sure Miuccia had this in mind when she designed this shoe but it actually a great kitchen implement.’

Emma has teamed up with her brother to make gin from the off-cuts of their father’s wine, made in his estate in Burgundy, and for the segment she used both her own gun and ‘Papa Watson’s wine’ – the Domaine Watson 2022 Chablis.
Recalling growing up with her father’s wine making, she said: ”This wine was the reason that I slept in a very cold bedroom when I was a child, because he used to store the wine bottles at the back of mine and Alex’s room…
‘So we would often complain that it was cold, and he’d say, ‘Well, you’ve gotta keep the wine at a certain temperature.’ I think that’s probably the definition of a first-world problem…’
As they took part in a race to make a cocktail, Alex shed light on life with his sister and warned: ‘Everyone is about to see how competitive Emma is… for any younger brothers coasting along who have an overachieving sister, we’re in this together.
Later on in the video, Emma shed light on what she is working on professionally and revealed she has branched from acting into writing and directing.
She said: ‘I’ve been writing and directing, and I’m really enjoying it. It started in covid and I realised how much I loved it and that I wanted to keep doing that. And so I’m actually studying that now. To direct something I’d written one day…
‘That would make me pretty excited. I don’t see myself as stepping away from acting I just see myself expanding what I do… to really be at the front of a project takes time. Films can be decades in the making…
‘Finding it and writing it and putting it together. I don’t see it as a closing down I see it as an opening up.’
