Did you hear that Eminem released a new song? Yes, that’s really Eminem. I’m going to assume you haven’t heard it yet. In this track, the homophobic rapper returns to his old style, featuring soft, moronic jokes that lack the depth of his previous work, like “Lose Yourself.” Instead, he takes aim at Megan Thee Stallion, which I find troubling.

Eminem’s new rap, “Houdini,” includes a reference that could be interpreted as mocking Megan Thee Stallion, who was a victim of violence when Tory Lanez shot her in the feet. Eminem’s comments about her situation strike me as deeply offensive, and it’s disheartening to see people on social media laughing and mocking her.

This kind of behavior only contributes to re-victimizing individuals who have already suffered, which might discourage others from coming forward with their own issues.

I find this situation shameful, but perhaps I’m being too sensitive. What do you think?
