Ed Sheeran at the iHeart Radio Music Awards
At the iHeart Radio Music Awards, Ed Sheeran took a moment to reflect on his whirlwind schedule. Just eleven hours prior, he had been in Germany, and in another eight hours, he would be in New York. He admitted, “I’m feeling kind of like I don’t really know where I am.” Hosting a show in New York the following Tuesday only added to the chaos.
Despite the jet lag and the hectic pace of moving from city to city and country to country, Ed found joy in sharing his music globally. “I went from a German award show yesterday to an American one today,” he shared. “Everything I’m doing is super fun, even if I feel a bit lost.”
Fans have been particularly enthusiastic about his new album, which features no fewer than four wedding songs. One standout track, “Perfect,” has resonated deeply with listeners, prompting emotional reactions. When asked if he intended for his music to make people cry, Ed responded thoughtfully. “I believe music should stir up emotion,” he explained. “Whether it’s love, sadness, or even hate, it should evoke a feeling. It should never leave you indifferent.”
When the conversation turned to more personal moments, Ed chuckled at the question about the last time he cried. He mentioned watching David Brent: Life on the Road during a flight, admitting, “It made me cry,” which only endeared him further to his fans.
