Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred outside rapper Drake’s Toronto mansion.

The 37-year-old musician’s property is reportedly surrounded by a large police presence following the incident, which took place on Tuesday, May 7.

According to TMZ, the shooting occurred around 2:09 AM, as confirmed by authorities. The incident location was identified as the nearby corner of Bayview and Lawrence Avenues.

One man sustained serious injuries in the gunfire and was promptly transported to the hospital. His injuries are reported as serious but non-life-threatening, according to CBC.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle. However, no descriptions of either the suspect or the vehicle were immediately provided.

As of now, no further details have been released, but a police presence remains, and a section of the street has been cordoned off.

Drake was not present at the property during the shooting and has stated that he is fully cooperating with the police investigation.

While this incident occurs amid an escalating rap feud with Kendrick Lamar, there is no evidence linking the feud to the shooting.
