This season Caitlin Clark emerged as one of the most recognizable players in all of US sports. With more nationally televised games than the Indiana Pacers and a series of attendance records, she quickly became the face of Indiana sports.
Regardless of whether the Fever were competing at home or on the road, fans packed out arenas all around the country to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever compete. At the same time, Clark and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, became friends with Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton and his girlfriend.
After Caitlin Clark was announced as the 2024 KIA WNBA Rookie of the Year, Haliburton congratulated Clark in a video posted by the WNBA and the Indiana Pacers.
“Caitlin, congratulations on winning Rookie of the Year. Not a surprise by any means. Very happy for you. Wishing you continued success. And go Fever.”
The video posted by the Pacers also included a congratulatory message from Myles Turner, who said:
“Congratulations, Caitlin. For real, man. It’s been a pleasure watching you play this year, not only living up to the hype, but doing something I haven’t seen here in years and getting back to the playoffs. So congratulations on Rookie of the Year. Best is yet to come, man. Go Fever.”
Obi Toppin and his daughter Remy also congratulated Clark on her win:
“What’s going on? Caitlin, just wanted to say congratulations on winning Rookie of the Year. You definitely earned it, and there’s a lot more accomplishments to come. You got to say anything, Remy? Say congrats. Congrats.”
