Becky Lynch is not in the best place when it comes to her career in WWE. There have been a lot of rumors that she may be considering retirement with her contract coming up soon, and now she has finally spoken up about her thoughts.
Despite recently winning the Women’s World Championship, she could not defend it properly against Liv Morgan, with Dominik Mysterio’s interference costing her. Although it looked like Dom was trying to help her attack Morgan, who had taken out Rhea Ripley, he helped the challenger become the champion instead.
Over the last few weeks, with Becky Lynch’s contract set to expire this week, there have been rumors that she may be done with the company. Some even claim that she could be retiring once and for all. The rumor is that if she loses her rematch against Liv Morgan tonight, she could walk away from the ring.
Backstage, before Lyra Valkyria’s match on RAW, Lynch finally broke her silence and hinted that it might be time for her to walk away. While advising Valkyria, she said that stars had to live and learn.
Then she got a far-away look in her eye and said that the process continued until it was time to walk away. Clearly, here she was, not talking about Valkyria but about herself.
“You live and learn, till its time to walk away,” Lynch said.
With that being the case, fans will be waiting to see what happens in the steel cage match tonight.
Becky Lynch had to fill in at the last second as WWE Women’s World Champion
Becky Lynch was reportedly supposed to take time away from the ring after WrestleMania. Despite her best attempts, she lost to Rhea Ripley on that stage.
However, when Ripley was injured, she wrestled and won the WWE Women’s World Title in a Battle Royal, stepping back into the company when they needed her.
Having lost the title, it remains to be seen if the star walks away after tonight or if she becomes champion.
