Angel Reese has had a busy offseason. As the Chicago Sky were eliminated from playoff contention, she could spend more time outside of basketball. The rookie sensation spent Sunday in Los Angeles attending two of the most sought-after events in the city.

Reese went on Instagram to share a few photos of whereabouts in LA. First, she watched the highly anticipated matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the LA Rams in the afternoon at SoFi Stadium. The “Chi Barbie” went to the nearby Intuit Dome later for another must-see event.

After watching the Rams’ thrilling 27-24 win over the 49ers, Reese attended Usher’s “Past Present Future” concert at the LA Clippers’ home court. Two of the eight-time Grammy Award-winning singer’s hits, including “Yeah!,” were included in Reese’s clip.

Before the Chicago Sky All-Star forward was spotted in the Rams-49ers game, she posted on Instagram a clip of herself boarding a plane on Saturday. She had an all-red outfit, including a big Chanel handbag that was impossible to miss. Reese captioned the photo with:

Usher once met Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky players in their locker room

Angel Reese’s first appearance against the Las Vegas Aces in Sin City attracted some A-listers. One of those celebrities was Usher, who sat courtside and cheered for the Chicago Sky against the home team. The Sky did not disappoint their fans as they won 93-85 behind Reese, Chennedy Carter and Kamilla Cardoso.

After the game, Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon met with the “U Don’t Have to Call” hitmaker before bringing him to the locker room. Weatherspoon’s players, including Reese, couldn’t believe their eyes when the R&B legend walked in.

Usher exchanged high-fives with the players and talked briefly with Chennedy Carter and Angel Reese. The artist and the entire Chicago Sky team posed for photos while the players hilariously kept saying “Usher, baby.”

Reese and Usher’s interaction didn’t just end there. Outside of the locker room, the Sky star managed to coax the singer/songwriter to say his iconic line:

Usher: “Angel, baby.”

Reese: “Say, Usher, baby.”

Usher: “Usher, baby.”

The exchange was short but the connection was unmistakable. They ended up laughing at their back-and-forth. Based on that rapport, fans likely weren’t surprised Reese went to Los Angeles to watch Usher’s concert.
