Ahead of his latest single, Houdini, being released on Friday, Eminem shared a video on his Instagram of him and David Blaine discussing making the rapper’s career ‘disappear’
Eminem has worried fans with his latest Instagram video.
In the video, the Detroit rapper announced his latest single, Houdini, will be released tomorrow. He filmed the promo with magician and mentalist David Blaine.
Marshall Mathers, Eminem’s real name, takes a Facetime call from David as he walks down the street. “We should do something together one time,” David said

“I was wondering how far we can go with this magic, like can we do a stunt or something?” The rapper asked. David then shows off his abilities as he seemingly picks up a wine glass from an outdoor restaurant, drinking from it, and then eats the glass.
Eminem then clarified what he was thinking by saying: “Well for my last trick, I want to make my career disappear.” The video ends with David confused and then “Houdini. 5.31.24” appears on the screen.
Fans online were worried about what he meant by making his career “disappear.” Some took to social media, worrying he would be retiring from rap.
“Don’t retire goat,” one fan wrote on Twitter, now known as X, referring to Eminem as the Greatest Of All Time. Another added: “Bro just casually announced his retirement.”

A third fan commented on his video: “Yo Marshall, don’t retire, you Heard, don’t you dare…” Others hoped that this alluded to the end of the rapper’s Slim Shady alter ego, and not Eminem’s entire career.
The rapper announced his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady, last month. He shared the news through a faux true crime trailer for the fake show Detroit Murder Files.
Rapper and close friend to Marshall Mathers, 50 Cent, also made a cameo appearance in the video, telling the camera: “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.”
He also published a faux obituary in a Detroit newspaper for Slim Shady. It said the rapper met a “sudden and horrific end.”
