Not only, has Blackwell proven himself to be a great depth forward, playing with the likes of Jason Dickinson and Joey Anderson, on what was considered the best checking and scoring line for the Hawks at one point in 2023.

We have signed Colin Blackwell to a one-year, $775k contract.

Blackwell played a limited role in the 2023-2024 season due to a botched recovery from a sports hernia surgery.

Last season, Blackwell scored 12 points(8 G, 4 A) in 44 appearances with the Blackhawks.

In 2022-2023, in 53 games played, scored 10 points(2 G, 8 A) with the Blackhawks as well.

He will likely slot in the Dallas Stars fourth line, again as a depth forward, and with the sandpaper style Blackwell plays with, should resonate well with the team and fans in Dallas.

Blackwell will get a shot with a contender, to prove himself.
