Prison for ex-players of the Victoriaville Tigers: Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano, two ex-hockey players guilty of horrible crimes, do not escape a prison sentence. They were sentenced to more than two years of incarceration.

This was the original case, which came to light in March:
A young woman who was the victim of crimes in 2021 by former Victoriaville Tigres players Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano spoke for four minutes this morning at the players’ sentencing hearing.
The young woman: “I was vulnerable, the ideal sardine for their fish net. I fell into a trap for a long time thinking that it was my fault that I was there. I felt guilty. Now, I am convinced more than ever that what I experienced should not have happened, that it was not my fault, that I was a victim.

On the day their trial was to begin in October, Daigle and Siciliano pleaded guilty to committing a crime on the then-17-year-old.

The young woman said it has affected her entire family, and added, “I also think of the relatives, the families of the accused, who, regardless of the position they adopt, must be upset.”

Daigle and Siciliano face up to 10 years in prison

While it is not ten years in prison, these two young men will face the consequences of their actions. Our hearts are with the young woman and her family.
