A social media user spotted LeBron’s move on Instagram.
The 2024 NBA Draft came and went, and what just about everyone expected to happen happened. After picking up Dalton Knecht in the first round in what many considered a big value, the Lakers finished up their draft by selecting Bronny James 55th overall.
Everyone saw it coming as soon as Bronny announced his decision to enter the draft. He will now be able to play with his father, LeBron James, before the NBA legend rides off into the sunset within the next few seasons. As if LeBron wasn’t already loyal enough to his kin, he will now defend Bronny as his teammate, too.

And he’s already started to do so off the court. A social media user noted on the day Bronny got drafted that LeBron had unfollowed NBA reporter Rachel Nichols on Instagram.
That’s exactly what the Lakers plan to do. But it’s clear that LeBron has higher hopes for his son than many others do.
