“Clark is Jordanesque” – Seth Rollins claims Caitlin Clark has Michael Jordan-like impact on WNBA
Caitlin Clark made a significant impact on the WNBA even though she has only been in the league for half a season. On Wednesday, her list of supporters got longer as she received high praise from former WWE champion Seth Rollins.
Rollins gave his take on the WNBA, among many other sports topics, while promoting WWE’s SummerSlam premium live event on ESPN. Citing the Indiana Fever rookie’s impact on the league and women’s basketball as a whole, he compared it to what Michael Jordan did for the game.
“It’s unbelievable what she’s done for the sport of basketball for women. It’s incredible. I’m a Bulls fan as well, so I don’t want to get blasphemous here, but it’s Jordanesque,” said Rollins.

Rollins emphasized that Clark might not be as good as Jordan, but the impact that she has brought to the sport can only be matched by the Bulls legend.
“She’s changed the game, and I’m not saying anybody’s as good as Michael Jordan, but from an optics perspective, the amount of eyes she’s put on the sport has been incredible.”
Rollins also commended all the other women’s basketball players who came to the scene to elevate the sport in the past year.
“It’s not just her. It’s a class of women and girls who have paved the way for years and years and years, but she’s the focal point right now.”
At just 22 years old, Clark has become one of the biggest WNBA superstars. With her long-range shooting and passing brilliance, Clark has the keys to the Fever’s offense, averaging 17.1 points, 8.2 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game, as she earned an All-Star nod in her rookie year.
In a recent study conducted by the Sports Business Journal, 66% of the 1000 participants have an overall positive impression of Clark. According to the study, that is better than NBA superstars Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, and Kevin Durant. Clark is also on par with Nikola Jokic and is just below Steph Curry.
About 72% said that they sympathize with Clark for the media attention she continuously receives, while 60% said that the media treats her unfairly.
Lastly, the study reflected Clark’s impact in bringing more fans to the games, as Fever games average 16,757 fans whenever she plays.
