The ex-WBC heavyweight champion of the world has eight children
iron Mike Tyson suffered some brutal losses throughout his boxing career to Buster Douglas and Lennox Lewis, but those defeats pale in comparison to the loss of his daughter, Exodus, in 2009 as he revealed just how devastating the impact was.

The youngster tragically died in 2009 at the age of four when she accidentally strangled herself on a cord from a treadmill exercise machine at her home in Phoenix, Arizona whilst her father not at home at the time of the accident.
Tyson spoke openly about his grief and the immense pain he experienced following his daughter’s death. It’s a loss that undoubtedly changed him and influenced his perspective on life and family.
In interviews, Tyson has discussed how the tragedy made him reassess his priorities and strive to be a better father to his other children and the experience likely contributed to his ongoing journey of personal growth and reflection, but he reaffirmed his grief on a podcast.
“My nadir,” Tyson emotionally said to Hot Boxin’, “Was when I lost my daughter, my four-year-old daughter.
“Yeah, I can’t go… “I was f**ked up, I was f**ked up. It made me a better person though.”

Has Mike Tyson got over it?
Tyson, who is known for his poetic descriptions of his beliefs and emotions, was uncharacteristically mute as he spoke about how he handles the death of his daughter, who was barely more than a toddler at the time.
He admitted that whilst he has never managed to move on, he’s managed to keep going forwards through life as he prepares to face Jake Paul in his return to professional boxing, which he quit back in 2005 in a very emotional and vulnerable interview from the 58-year-old.
“You never recover,” Tyson added. “But you live with it. Isn’t that weird?”
