Imane Khelif has been facing a barrage of criticism ever since a medical report published in France claimed the Algerian boxing star, who won gold in the women’s welterweight division in the Paris Olympics, is actually male.

Among those joining the chorus criticising Khelif is American media personality and former Olympic gold-winning decathlete Caitlyn Jenner, who took a jibe at the controversial boxer while making a reference to Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election.

“I haven’t seen a man beat a woman this bad since the Olympics,” read a graphic shared by Jenner on her X account on Thursday, a day after Trump was elected the 47th president of the United States after his victory over Democratic Party nominee Kamala Harris.
