Eminem has slowed promotion of his recently-released album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) after several singles and even a deluxe reissue. As interest in the rap full-length begins to fade, another one of the hip-hop musician’s latest offerings becomes a special hit on one chart.
“Murdergram Deux” debuts on the Rhythmic Airplay chart this week in America. The Billboard list ranks the most successful singles on radio stations throughout the U.S. that focus on playing a style of music referred to as rhythmic, which is usually a more easygoing, perhaps more top-40-leaning take on R&B, hip-hop, and rap.

Eminem’s single, which is a collaboration with lead artist LL Cool J, opens at No. 39 on the radio list, earning the two rappers another top 40 hit. “Murdergram Deux” is special to the featured artist, as it’s his fortieth top 40 win on the roster.
Included in that collection of 40 top 40 smashes on the Rhythmic Airplay chart are half a dozen No. 1s. He’s so far sent 21 tunes—or almost exactly half of his charting wins—to the top 10.
LL Cool J, meanwhile, has yet to accrue half of Eminem’s total placements on the ranking. “Murdergram Deux” gives the hip-hop legend his seventeenth appearance on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, a sum which includes just six top 10 hits and a sole leader.
The two rappers earn one of four debuts on the Rhythmic Airplay ranking this week. “Murdergram Deux” is the third-loftiest new arrival this time around, beating Shaboozey and BigXthaPlug’s “Drink Don’t Need No Mix,” which begins its time in last place, at No. 40. NLE Choppa and 41’s “So What” leads all new entries, coming in at No. 31. Young MC’s “Fun Part” ranks one slot ahead of Eminem and LL Cool J.
“Murdergram Deux” was released in late August as the fourth, and perhaps last, single from LL Cool J’s new album The Force. The set marked the rapper’s comeback, as it is his first full-length in more than a decade. Thanks largely to Eminem’s presence, the tune became the biggest win from the project, and it even earned the lead star his first No. 1 on some of Billboard’s genre-specific charts.
