The Eric Hudson and Blaq Tuxedo-produced track is Brown’s 55th top 10 hit.

Chris Brown continues to make strides on the charts.
His latest single, “Residuals,” climbs from No. 12 to No. 7 in its sixth week on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, led by Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Mamushi” featuring Yuki Chiba.
With Brown’s new chart achievement, he now has 55 top 10 hits out of 122 entries on this list. Brown continues his reign as the R&B artist with the most entries on the Rhythmic Airplay chart. His “No Guidance” collaborator Drake leads across all artists with 130.

Produced by Blaq Tuxedo and Eric Hudson, “Residuals” appears on Brown’s 11:11 (Deluxe) album, which was released April 11 via RCA Records. The project is an expanded edition of his 11th album, released Nov. 10, 2023.
In a recent interview with Rated R&B, the musical duo Blaq Tuxedo, revealed that “Residuals” was recorded when Brown was working on his Breezy album.
“That was the first song that kicked off the album,” Dominique Logan said about the Prince-inspired track. “He records a lot of songs, so it kind of got buried. We ended up doing ‘Iffy.’ We created that song the same week and he rode with that, which was a blessing.”
Brown, who wrapped up his successful 11:11 Tour in late summer, will perform at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Dec. 14 and Dec. 15.
The Grammy winner will then head to São Paulo, Brazil, to play at Allianz Parque on Dec. 21 and Dec. 22. All shows are sold out.
