In a recent interview with Ashley Nicole of CBS Sports, Wembanyama was given a unique challenge. He was asked to assemble a dream team with an unbeatable record of 82-0, with himself, Wembanyama, playing at the Center position.
Wembanyama placed Stephen Curry in the point guard position, LeBron James in the small forward position, and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan in the shooting guard position. Moreover, Additionally, Wemby put himself in the center position, and former NBA player Tim Duncan in the power forward position.
Wembanyama has selected a lineup of legendary players for his all-time starting 5. Curry is the best 3-point shooter in NBA history. James and Jordan are two of the most renowned players of all time. Tim Duncan is one of the greatest power forwards of all time, and Wemby dominates the league at the center position.
Wembanyama Expresses Desire to Dunk on Three Specific NBA Players
Wembanyama, who was recently praised by Patrick Beverley, has amazed everyone with his stellar achievements in his debut season. He unanimously won the 2024 NBA Rookie of the Year. Wemby also placed second in the 2024 Defensive Player of the Year voting. As the new NBA season is underway, the Spurs star revealed three player names he wants to dunk on.
“The best defenders would be the biggest challenge, so that would be Rudy Gobert; I think Kawhi [Leonard] would be because all these guys I respect so much on the defensive end that it would be incredible to dunk on them. So I’d say Rudy, Kawhi, and a third one would be Jonathan Isaac. I think [Isaac’s] a really, really underrated defender,” Wembanyama said to CBS Sports’ Ashley Nicole Moss.
Wembanyama hoped to dunk on some of the most incredible defenders in the league, and it will be exciting to see in the 2024-25 NBA season.
