Author J.K. Rowling had taken an oath that she would not kill any one of the three main characters in the Harry Potter novels. It was a sigh of relief for Emma Watson and her on-screen lover Rupert Grint since J.K. Rowling considered killing the ginger-haired character midway out of sheer spite!
During an interview, Rowling recalled that she had seriously considered killing the character of Ron Weasley, midway through writing the novels. The actress realized quickly that she did not hate the character or the people, but because she wasn’t in a very happy place at that time.

J.K. Rowling Considered Killing Rupert Grint’s Character!
During her earlier days when Harry Potter had not found the fame that it did, J. K. Rowling had made a promise to herself. The American author had made a pact that out of the trio of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and, Hermione Granger, she would not kill any one of the main characters.

After the success of the franchise, J.K. Rowling stated that she was so angry at one time that she seriously considered killing Ron Weasley out of sheer spite. Ron Weasley, portrayed by Rupert Grint, was the lover of Emma Watson’s Hermione Granger in the franchise, and it would have been truly heartbreaking if the lovers weren’t able to have their happy ending.
“Funnily enough, I planned from the start that none of them would die. Then midway through, which I think is a reflection of the fact that I wasn’t in a very happy place, I started thinking I might polish one of them off. Out of sheer spite. ‘There, now you definitely can’t have him any more.’”
The British author further revealed,
“But I think in my absolute heart of heart of hearts, although I did seriously consider killing Ron, [I wouldn’t have done it],”
It would have been truly heartbreaking for Emma Watson and Rupert Grint to have been separated after spending several years together. People thanked the author that she did not kill the character of Ron Weasley.
When Emma Watson Had Trouble Being American!

Admittedly, Emma Watson has stopped appearing in the public eye as often as she used to. The actress is slowly but surely working on her movies and her personal life. Starring in the role of Sam in the 2012 movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Emma Watson revealed that she had quite a terrible time learning how to be American.
“I was like, ‘I’ve got to do an American accent and I don’t know anything about being at an American school’, so I started freaking out and making these crazy notes and emailing the director at three in the morning going, ‘What does this mean?’ <…> [And] my accent? I was really nervous. I think it sounded terrible!”
Following the tough trial, Emma Watson starred in the 2012 movie, which added to her impressive filmography alongside the Harry Potter franchise. With the trio staying alive till the end of times, the Emma Watson, Ruper Grint, and Daniel Radcliffe starrer are available to stream on Max in the U.S.
