“They are doing their best to make things work and be supportive of each other.”
Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber have skipped out on the 2024 Met Gala amid concern the singer is going through a hard time after posting a photo of himself crying.
A source tells Entertainment Tonight, “Justin has been facing some difficulties lately. He has been having a hard time and hasn’t been feeling like his usual self. Hailey has been doing her best to be there for Justin, but it is upsetting for her to see him struggle. They are doing their best to make things work and be supportive of each other. They are committed to doing whatever it takes to make things better.”
Another insider previously told the outlet that “Justin and Hailey are continuing to support each other and help one another get through more difficult times as they always have. They are making an effort to do things that will help them create a bigger and brighter future. They are remaining committed to their faith and trying to stay positive. They are hopeful about the future and doing things to better themselves.”
The couple hasn’t attended the Met Gala since 2021, when fans started chanting Selena Gomez’s name at Hailey on the Met steps. Hailey clarified what really went down during an appearance on Call Her Daddy. “Yes, I could hear everyone screaming,” she admitted to host Alex Cooper. “I think there’s a certain part of you that has a numbness of just like…I was really surprised.”
While fans speculated that Hailey started crying and Justin turned to comfort her, she got candid about what really happened. “The whole thing of everybody being like, ‘Oh, he’s trying to tell her not to cry.’ That was not true. It wasn’t making me cry,” she said, adding that bullying is a “very disrespectful thing to do toward anybody.”
Given ^^^ all of that, it’s understandable why these two would skip out on Fashion’s Biggest Night™️.
