Adele fans seriously divided over eye-watering cost of new album

Adele is fresh off finishing her two-year residency show in Las Vegas

Adele is arguably one of the biggest stars in the music industry right now, boasting an impressive 16 Grammy Awards, 12 Brit Awards, an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award.

Alongside her many accolades, the 36-year-old ‘Someone Like You’ singer also has one of the most dedicated fan bases out there eager to get their hands on whatever merch she puts out.

However, Adele’s latest limited-edition collectors vinyl has left some seriously divided after finding out the eye-watering amount it’ll set them back.

Now, Adele fans will no doubt know she’s just finished up her Las Vegas residency earlier this week – a gig she’s been doing for the past two years at Caesars Palace.

So, to mark the end of the chapter, she released a new vinyl box set which includes the Sin City setlist, confetti from the show and a 56-page photo album for fans to add to their collection.

The limited-edition set is currently available for pre-order for shipment in springtime next year, but it comes with a pretty steep price tag.

It’s priced at a whopping £280 ($350) and it’s clear the number has sparked quite the debate from fans on social media.

A third hit out: “$349 for a box set is INSANE. I love Adele but she can keep it for that price.”

“Who else desperately wants that vinyl box but can’t because of the price?” wondered another while a final echoed: “I really want it, but honestly I can’t afford it.”

Others, however, were clearly less fussed by the price point: “People complaining about the prices of the Adele merch store, you know you could just not buy it and move on with your life. It’s really not that hard.”

Meanwhile, someone else added: “Not y’all complaining about the price… LMAO either buy it or don’t.”

Adele previously shared with fans her sadness over the show coming to the end, saying: “But I am so glad that it happened, I really, really am.”

“Thank you for always bigging me up and making me feel like I could do whatever I want to do,” she said about her fiancé, Rich.

“There have been times where I’m too tired or too emotionally drained, and you’re like, ‘come, baby. Get up, there, let’s do it’, so I appreciate that and I still need to be treated like a baby panda.”
