Chicago Blackhawks fans should be disturbed as there’s news of a major lineup change.

Of course, with new additions you expect subtractions, however, with one Blackhawks player, he can be utilized in all situations and is a verifiable Swiss army knife.

He was a factor on the man advantage last season and is an Alternate Captain for the Blackhawks.

Nick Foligno is projected to be demoted to the 4th line with the Blackhawks since they have added Tyler Bertuzzi, Teuvo Teraveinen, and Ilya Mikheyev he will be shifted down in the lineup.

Of course, changes like this are to be expected with some players, but the next question is, with Foligno’s demotion happening does that set him up to lose the “A” or gain the “C”?

Who will be the healthy scratch? Pat Maroon?

Foligno, like Pat Maroon, is a sandpaper forward, but is more versatile and has been a leader since his time in Columbus.

In 74 games with the Blackhawks, he scored 37 points( 17 G, 20 A) and 57 PIMs.

For now, a few things raise eyebrows.

De facto captain Nick Foligno has been dropped to the Blackhawks fourth line to start, despite his steadiness shift after shift and strength on the boards, Unfocused, ineffective peripheral forward Lukas Reichel is on the third.

Odds are that won’t really be the case once the puck drops in October. OK, This will be a work in progress.
