The Chicago Sky rookie tried a new style of experimenting with her looks in her free time. Reese had light makeup on and wore a broad white headband as the key highlight of her new look. She wore her hair down similar to dominant hairstyles in the 90’s. All the pictures had a portrait orientation with Chi Barbie staring right into the camera.

Angel Reese was the talk of the league before she was sidelined with a season-ending wrist injury. The Sky rookie set a few new records and broke many existing ones in her debut season. She was dubbed as a double-double machine for setting the record for most consecutive double-doubles in a single season.

However, after she was injured, the Sky lost the final five games of the season, losing their hold on the eight seed spot and their chance to qualify for a playoff berth. As a consequence, the Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon ended up getting fired after coaching just a single season.

Angel Reese shares emotional message after coach Teresa Weatherspoon’s firing

After Weatherspoon was relieved of her duties as the head coach of the Chicago Sky, Angel Reese took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a heartfelt emotional message for her former coach.

“I’m heartbroken. I’m literally lost for words knowing what this woman meant to me in such a pivotal point in my life. She was the only person that believed in me.The one that trusted me. Many don’t even know what it’s like to be a black women in sports when nobody believes in you,” Reese wrote in her tweet.

“You had a tough job. All the crazy circumstances that we went through this year & when your back was against the wall, you always believed. I came to Chicago because of YOU. You were an unsung hero in my life. We built a relationship in a short amount of time that will last forever,” she continued.

Under Weatherspoon’s coaching, Angel Reese averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. She and Weatherspoon had built a close connection through their struggles on the hardwood. Later in her tweet, Reese said that the former Sky coach did not deserve the treatment she received and wished her luck and love.
