Some fans have accused Shakira of borrowing too many creative elements from Taylor Swift’s ‘shocking’ Eras tour for her upcoming Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour.
The comments come amid news that Shakira’s upcoming world tour has broken one of Taylor Swift’s records, as the Colombian singer became the first female artist to sell out five consecutive shows at the Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, according to Marca.
Taylor Swift previously held the record with four sold-out stadium shows during her Eras tour.

Fans of the Cruel Summer singer have posted evidence that Shakira has “copied” her idol, including Shakira’s group’s marketing campaigns that look very similar to Taylor Swift, and similar products, stage sets and sets.
One person said: “It’s obvious that the inspiration for this was taken from Taylor Swift’s most famous tour of all time. But if this goes viral, it will be hard for them to prove that this isn’t a copy of someone else’s work.” Another joked: “Shakira’s team could also call this Taylor’s Eras Tour.”
A video of Shakira and her dancers rehearsing for the tour was also criticised by viewers for “copying” Taylor Swift’s choreography.
Others added: “If Taylor copies someone then obviously they’re never going to stop talking bad about it and putting her down”…

Meanwhile, some other Taylor Swift fans sympathized with the Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker: “It’s okay because we love Shakira”; “Shakira is carrying on this legacy with Latin identity”; “Shakira had a lot of records before Taylor was famous”.
Shakira’s world tour will kick off in 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on February 11, followed by stops in Peru, the singer’s native Colombia, Chile, Argentina and Mexico.
